Yesterday was South Korean Memorial Day also known as Hyeon-choong-il (현충일), a public holiday to commemorate the men and women who died while in military service during the Korean War. Hubby and I spent our afternoon watching X-Men: Dark Phoenix at CGV – Apgujeong Branch (CGV 압구정점). It is a movie complex that houses Arthouse Cinema, Premium Cinema, Cine de Chef and Tempur Cinema.
We chose to watch the movie at Tempur Cinema, the world’s first reclining bed cinema. It offers the same gourmet restaurant service as Cine de Chef but the theater has Tempur motion beds instead of premium sofas.
Movie ticket: 80,000 KRW for 2 people (must be bought in pairs)
Parking Details:
- Valet parking service: 2,500 KRW (only cash)
- Movie or restaurant : 3 hours of free parking
- Movie and restaurant: 6 hours of free parking
After valet parking, we took the elevator to B5 and presented our mobile ticket and valet parking stub (for free parking stamp) at the reception desk. As we entered the theater, we got to pick a drink of our choice. Then we were escorted to our lounger.
Each lounger has a remote control to adjust the angles for the comfort of your head and legs. You can press the call button on your bedstand if you wish to order food or drinks from the Cinema Menu. There’s also a blanket in case you get chilly. Phone chargers are also provided on your bedstand.

Tempur Cinema can accommodate only 30 guests at a time. Advance ticketing or reservation is a must!

You can enjoy a French/Italian meal before or after watching the movie but it is not included in the ticket price. If you purchase your ticket via CGV app or homepage, you have to contact the restaurant for a separate lunch or dinner reservation.
- Cine de Chef Contact number: 02-3446-0541 (9:00 AM ~ 10:00 PM)
- Cine de Chef Apgujeong Course Menu
- Cine de Chef Apgujeong Wine Menu
A combination of a premium movie theater and gourmet restaurant, CGV Cine de Chef Apgujeong offers you the ultimate cinematic experience. The hefty price tag may keep most from visiting regularly but it is definitely one of the best places for a perfect movie date!
Getting there by subway: Apgujeong Station (Orange Line) Exit 3
Thank you for dropping by! ^^
