Yesterday, I had a wonderful Saturdate with my dear friend Mrs. Lee from Incheon. We started off with a delightful and exquisite lunch at Sky Lounge, an Italian restaurant hoisted up on the top (30th) floor of InterContinental Seoul COEX.
I made a reservation two days prior to our visit to request for the best spot, and I wasn’t disappointed. We were ushered to a table at the center of the lounge with a magnificent view of Gangnam District, Bongeunsa Temple and Han River.
- Lunch: 12:00 – 3:00 PM
- Dinner: 6:00 – 9:30 PM
- Bar: 9:30 PM – 2:00 AM
At Sky Lounge, you choose the main course and the appetizers as well as desserts are in a buffet set-up. We opted for the Course 75 as we were craving for some steak.
Here’s the buffet section…
While we were having the last course, my friend suddenly stood up to pay the bill. She wanted to treat me for my birthday which was actually four months ago. Haha. She also got me a surprise gift. I didn’t really expect that. Thanks, dear!
Overall the food was fine but with the price of 75,000 KRW per person, it is quite pricey. If you just add a little bit more to that price tag, you can enjoy a full buffet in any 5-star hotel with almost a hundred dishes of local and international delights. But here you are paying more for the service and atmosphere. Well for a romantic date night, it’s absolutely a great place where you can enjoy some wine or cocktails, lounge music and the breathtaking night view of Seoul.
