I can’t believe it’s been 9 years since I became a certified Ajumma. It feels as if it was just yesterday that my husband and I met; and now we’re celebrating our 9th year as a 부부 (bubu: married couple)! Just like in the past years, we celebrated it with nothing grand. Since our special day is in winter season, we usually prefer to stay and cuddle at home after a long day at work.
We finished late at work yesterday because December is always a busy month. Nevertheless, we decided to meet for late dinner and go home together as we were too tired to prepare food and wash dishes. Haha! We walked along the food alley in Konkuk University area, checking some restaurants. After deliberating what to eat, we found ourselves ordering jjimdak.
We got our cake from Lucycato at Lotte Department Store and hubby chose Cranberry Cake. We just took a rest at home and waited for the clock to strike 12.
Me: Yeobo, before we blow our candle, let’s exchange messages. What do you want to tell me?
Hubby: I love you.
Me: I love you too.
Together: Bwahahaha! Let’s eat!
No more drama. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
To my DEAREST YEOBO
who has shown me what true love is,
who is the reason behind my smiles and happy days
and the source of comfort in my troubled ones,
who celebrates my successes
and encourages me in my failures,
THANK YOU for always making me feel so special
like I deserve the world;
and for not only telling me you love me everyday,
but making me feel so loved that I’m able to spread it
to everyone else around me.
It is truly a blessing and an honor to be your wife.
Since you like a quiet celebration, I’ll just whisper to you the rest of my message, okay? Haha! Saranghe, Yeobo! Happy 9th anniversary!
