Trick or treat! If you are looking for a spookylicious dining experience in Seoul, here is a spookily-themed restaurant for your Halloween indulgence not only during Halloween season but all year round! Just a short walk from Exit 11 of Gangnam Station, you can find The Witch’s Kitchen (마녀주방, pronounced as Manyeo Jubang), a popular Italian fusion restaurant in the area. “Manyeo” is the Korean term for “witch” and “jubang” for kitchen.

Every 31st day of the month, employees wear halloween costumes to entertain the customers. We went there on the 28th but perhaps because it was Halloween season, all of them were in characters.

While waiting for our food, I explored the place and took some photos.

My friend and I arrived at 12:00 noon. We had to wait for a while before we were able to have lunch as there were nine other teams ahead of us. Despite the waiting time, the restaurant was worth visiting – the concept was great, the food was delicious and not overly priced, and the servers could speak good English.
How to get there by subway:
Take Subway Line 2 (Green Line) and get off at Gangnam Station Exit 11. Walk straight ’til you reach the end of the block then turn right. You will pass by a narrow path and climb the stairs. Take few steps to the left and turn right. You will see the pink signage of the restaurant. Go down the stairs to the basement floor of the building where the restaurant is located. 🙂
