Unlike other countries, South Korea doesn’t celebrate Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day separately. One day (May 8) is dedicated for all parents instead. It is called 어버이날(eo-beo-ee-nal) in Korean. One popular gesture is giving parents carnations. Above is a photo of one ajushi opening his flower shop and putting fresh flowers on display. I took it early this morning on my way to the bakery to get some bagel. Hehe!
Happy Parents’ Day Korea, and Happy Mother’s Day Philippines! 🙂
